ABOUT SITP
Since 2015 Space is the Place organizes progressive and adventurous concert series. With De Ruimte (Amsterdam) as a home base, SITP curated over 1000 concerts with a focus on jazz and improvised music. At the same time SITP forms a creative breeding ground stimulating the scene, also by crossing genres and disciplines.
In 2017 Foundation Space is the Place was born. The official goal according the statutes: organizing improvised music based concerts in which sounds the necessity and pleasure of adventurous music.
In 2020 / 2021 SITP started to spread her wings to other venues, cities and even abroad. The co-operation with BIMHUIS is a solid one with several events a year. Also collaborations started with ao Paradiso, 24Classics, De Brakke Grond, Cinetol, Willem Twee (Den Bosch), Worm (Rotterdam), North Sea Roundtown (Rotterdam), de Helling (Utrecht), KAAP (Belgium).
