BIMHUIS & SPACE IS THE PLACE PRESENT:
    AN INTERPLANETARY NIGHT

  • KNALPOT & FRANK WIENK (BINKBEATS)
  • BLIK

Finally: another Interplanetary Night! The infamous evenings in collaboration with BIMHUIS where all styles and genres are transcended. This evening again two shows with a whirlwind of improvisations, electronics and tight compositions. Discover new collaborations and experimental forms.

Knalpot + Frank Wienk (Binkbeats)
A first: two progressive giants in the crossover of improvisation and electronics are joining forces for the first time. Knalpot, featuring Gerri Jäger, Raphael Vanoli and Sandor Caron, describes itself as one of the most uncompromising electronic rock acts of today. And they prove it in every show, when drone sounds mix with pop songs, mix distorted drums with Bach-like guitar and otherworldly guitars are amplified by synths. Now they are going to work together with Frank Wienk, aka Binkbeats. This producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist knows better than anyone how to transform organic sounds into electronic music. In short: an interaction that is guaranteed to blow you away!

BLIK
A trio that crackles and creaks, but that is at the same time lyrical and tender. Singer Annelie Koning uses poems by Charles Bukowksi (from the collection ‘Love Is A Dog From Hell’), while drummer Tristan Renfrow and bassist Luc Ex (from The Ex, among others) switch apparently with the greatest of ease between pure improvisations and tightly rehearsed pieces. Pure energy on stage!
