Teis Semey is a young Danish guitarist, composer and a new talent on the modern European jazz scene. Semey brings together Scandinavian folk music and DIY Indie music with jazz and improvisation, all with a high voltage output and appealing visual appearance.

With his trio, Teis Semey teams up with two heavy-weights on the European jazz scene: Korean drummer Sun Mi Hong and Danish bassist Jasper Høiby.
In this celebration of interplay, the Teis Semey Trio goes on musical adventures in the familiar avant-garde and finds appealing grooves and melodies in unsuspected corners of Danish folk and impro-punk. The Teis Semey Trio is on a sonic quest, carving out new paths for the guitar trio as we know it.

AB BAARS / BERLINDE DEMAN / JOOST BUIS

A unique trio of three wind instruments!
Ab Baars and Joost Buis are established names in the Amsterdam jazz and improvisation scene, Baars as reed player/composer for Duo Baars-Henneman and ICP Orchestra and Buis as trombonist and founder of the tentet Astronotes. Both musicians have been very active in the international jazz scene for the past years.
Berlinde Deman is the regular tubist of Flat Earth Society and also appears in numerous bands and projects in the Belgian jazz, theater and classical world. After years of fascination with the forerunner of the tuba, Berlinde acquired the serpent. A rare instrument from the 16th century. The melancholy and unique sound of this instrument brought her to uncharted territory and to very different projects such as B.O.X, Razen, Machinefabriek. She performed with Joost Buis and Ab Baars before, but never as a trio.
