ORQUESTA DEL TIEMPO PERDIDO
Jeroen Kimman’s home recording constructions under the moniker Orquesta del Tiempo Perdido have gained international acclaim over the last years (‘a slippery ride, but a very good one’- THE WIRE).After a long break, his playful, complex, and rather WTF musical ramblings will finally be performed live again by a septet of some of Amsterdam’s finest creative players.

GIOVANNI IACOVELLA
Meaningful numbers is the audio-visual performance by Giovanni Iacovella, drummer and improviser drifting between the worlds of improvised and electro-acoustic music.

The solo focuses on the use of acoustic drums and resonating objects as a tool to enhance the interaction between acoustic and digital sound.

As a result, the sonic landscapes that emerge vary from intricate polyrhythmic juxtaposition, to abstract drones and hyperkinetic noise, all of which find their order through improvisation and song-like forms.

The sonic gestures find a second layer of expression in the abstract live visuals that, through shapes, colours and light, seek a connection between sound and its visual representation.
