LOUIS COLE

The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Louis Cole is a man of many talents. Next to writing and singing, he is also a producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist and was nominated for a Grammy award. In the past, Louis has collaborated with names such as Thundercat, Genevieve Artadi, Dennis Hamm and Brad Mehldau, who can be heard on his debut album. The mission of the co-founder of Indie duo KNOWER is to “create deep feelings through music”. He does this in his viral videos on YouTube, during international tours and on his debut album ‘Time’, which was released on Brainfeeder. He is known for his impressive concerts in which he takes the audience into his musical world. A world full of electro funk, humor and soft ballads.

FUENSANTA
The singer, bassist and composer Fuensanta Méndez was born and raised in the water forest of Veracruz (Mexico) to an artistic family. She grew up surrounded by traditional Latin-American and contemporary European music, dance, theater and books. Méndez moved to the Netherlands to study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, from which she graduated summa cum laude in 2019. Poetry and folklore are important elements in her music, meant to approach familiar phenomena with a surrealistic point of view.
Her star is rising quickly in the international scène, the coming 2 years she will be artist in residence at Bimhuis.

LENNART HEYNDELS
Lennart Heyndels is a Belgian bassist, synthesist and composer based in Brussels who performs in a wide variety of musical settings. Besides his solo work for modular synthesizers and electronics, he is also half of the experimental pop duo Hi Hawaii and bassist in a number of internationally renowned ensembles such as Ben Sluijs Quartet, Kaja Draksler Octet, Alex Koo Trio and Les Chroniques de l’Inutile.

Lennart’s music is characterised by a fluid mix of styles, balancing light-hearted simplicity with serene introspection and a search for pushing boundaries.

LAURA POLENCE
Laura Polence is a singer and composer from Latvia, since year 2007 based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Her musical background of Latvian folk music and 12 years of European academic music studies have merged with her strong interest in modern jazz, the popular music of Brazil and singer-songwriter-like compositional ideas in the last years.
