LINE-UP: LIDA BROUSKARI | HRISTO GOLEMINOV / SIEBREN SMINK | RUIDOSCURO
The Orbits X Space is the Place series concludes with a special evening featuring the young, upcoming experimental piano talent Lida Brouskari and the lyrical, unpredictable duo Hristo Goleminov and Siebren Smink. This evening closes with Frank Rosaly’s amazing Ruidoscuro quartet, in super shape after their Belgian tour organized by SITP, full of power, with transcendental raw energy.
Lida Brouskari solo
Lida Brouskari graces us solo, on the keys. A skilled pianist who started at a very early age, Brouskari has been making waves in the local scene in various formations, including her band Nufaro, which blends avant-garde pop sensibilities with experimental and ’70s rock influences.

Hristo Goleminov / Siebren Smink
Hristo Goleminov is a saxophonist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist with a keen interest in free improvisation. For this event, he’s in full interplay with close friend and long-time collaborator Siebren Smink, a guitarist and composer who was steeped in psych rock as a kid. They will play new compositions by Goleminov, exploring baroque-inspired counterpoint, oddly singable melodies, and interwoven structures within the low confines of the baritone sax and guitar.

Ruidoscuro
Frank Rosaly’s Ruidoscuro presents strict sequential patterns against improvisation to inhabit ritualistic musical movement. The music tells a dark, haunting story in a richly layered context of spinning polyrhythms, bi-tonal melodic material, and pivoting harmonic structures in a new music that defies centralization. Layered systems of repetition, trance-based cycles, and melodic motifs spin and bridge one another, creating space for the listener to become lost in the raw energy of this powerful quartet.
