During the Open Day of EKWC WhyNot presents: Flying Limbs, Flying Slabs, Isabel Cordeiro and Ropes Aligned tangle gravity in a vertical performance at EKWC.

In this presentation, visual art, aerial dance and the ceramic sounds of sound artist Gemma Luz Bosch come together. The performance builds on the collaboration between visual artist Isabel Cordeiro and the vertical dance collective Ropes Aligned with Suzanne de Bekker and Natasja Bode. The research revolves around the question of how embodiments are formed in relation to each other, gravity and the materiality of the world around us.

Sound artist Gemma Luz Bosch is fascinated by the different timbres and textures that the natural material clay can produce and has developed several ceramic instruments. For the collaboration with Isabel Cordeiro, Suzanne de Bekker and Natasja Bode she will make new instruments and write new compositions for it.
